So get your reading comprehension up. the rest of my posts were facts though.

Ortiz is a career 140 with only 1 fight at 147. and he went to a draw and got stopped by journeymen in RECENT fights. FACTS.

    No credit.
Cotto beat Mosley in a close fight made him #1 I believe. Then was destroyed by Margarito making him #1.Who was in turn destroyed by Mosley, making him #1,who Floyd dominated.Ortiz is still ranked higher than Clottey & Mosley. Is the 2nd highest ranked welterweight which leaves him about even or greater than Cotto was period.

        meh,

the one that's only real bad is the fight with mosley coming of a loss and a draw.

marquez is not that good of a fight than it would have been but there's a history there, so whatever

clottey and marg, not really that bad considering clottey is still a strong welter and marg came in to fight.

ortiz is a pretty good comeback fight, but like pac's supposedly "mediocre" competition, its overly exaggerated.

          that doesn't make any sense.

cotto, mosley, margarito, and mosley fought and lost to each other, aside from mosley who lost to floyd and had a draw with mora.

ortiz won againts berto and uhhh..... that's it.

ortiz-floyd is a pretty good match up, but you guys are pretending that ortiz is some kind of beast that has been on the ww scene for the longest time.

For a pacfan ur fairly sensible, but the Margarito fight was the worst title fight I have ever seen considering the shady circumstances surrounding it.It was worse than the Mosley fight,by a longshot & that says a lot considering how bad the Mosley fight was.

It makes perfect sense,#'s don't lie, remember??Ortiz is the 2nd highest ranked welterweight Ryann, deal with it bro.We would never have been in this situation if Pacman,(the active of the 2 between him & Floyd)would have beaten Berto instead of a shot to **** Mosley, period.

                i have to disagree.

mosley was far worse, he was supposed to get his ass kicked if he chose to fight the way he usually does, unfortunately the only thing he wanted to beat is the number of touched gloves world record in one fight.

margarito, yeah i get the criticism, it was for a bull***** belt at a bull***** weight for a bullshiiit record-beating 8 titles, but margarito still presented some threats mainly due to the size. yeah, he got his ass beat but he came in to win it.

first of all, hats of to floyd for fighting ortiz. he could have chosen a far worse opponent and gotten away with it.

but no, ortiz is in no way shape or form a better opponent than when cotto was for pacquiao. even if you include the catchweight, cotto losing to margarito, ortiz doesn't come close to cotto being an established dominant ww. ortiz has fought 1 opponent that makes him a legit fight for floyd.

ortiz is a definitely better opponent than marquez and mosley at this point, that's for sure.

It's the #'s Ryann. At this precise point in time Ortiz is the 2nd ranked welterweight. The last time Pacman fought a fighter remotely close to that was Cotto. Was Cotto a better welterweight than Ortiz??So far yes,but Ortiz has the #'s on his side & is the best welterweight outside of Pacman & Floyd right now & it's Floyd that's fighting him.
