    Agreed.

Yes, I really can't understand why so many people have rubbished it and said that it's structure (going over more than a year) was wrong. It's the best thing to have happened to boxing for very many years, IMO, and no other structure could have led to so many great match-ups, or could have allowed good fighters like Froch to prove their worth despite a loss. The same structure should be repeated at other weights, but sadly I get the impression it won't be.
I think you're putting too much stock into one fight and noted that in the piece. I'm weighing both whole bodies of work. You're going triangle theory. Hey, did you see what Hearns just did to Duran? Tommy's gonna' kill Marvin. And I can't discount Taylor and Pascal. Those were big time wins.

I do think styles were a factor in Kessler-Ward just as they were in Kess-Froch (as was Kessler having his back to the wall) but I am not certain Ward would have handled Johnson as well as Froch and, hey, Froch did beat Abraham worse (a quality win for both). Like I said, Ward might beat Froch. I might pick him. But these ratings try to reflect what is more than what might be and Froch just has more is right now IMO.
