Mayweather is a master of timing inside the ring. Outside the ring, he is after all also a master of timing. Before the Pacquiao-Marquez fight was signed, here's what Mayweather said:

- "right now, i'm not thinking about boxing. i'm just spending quality time with my children"
- "there is absolutely no truth to the rumor that I'm fighting Victor Ortiz"

Then barely two weeks after Pacquiao-Marquez gets signed, we get this announcement that he is fighting Ortiz. Excellent timing for Floyd! Now, people can't pressure him to fight Manny 'coz Manny's already engaged. Or would you be so naive to believe that he suddenly got the itch to fight again after claiming to have no planned fights as early as two weeks ago?
