I believe his guarantee for that fight was 22 mil. So unless he generated 48 million in PPV revenue he was lying about the 70 million number.
floyd made 52million in that fight vs DLH which was the richest non heavy wt bout in the history of the sport. oscar had to clear around 70million in that fight as he promoted along with floyd that bout. may gets a cut of ppv sales along with assured funds. and AGAIN floyd only fought shane last year and FORBES listed his income from that bout at 65million. so it can easily be proved and it was.

Uhhh... no he did not. You're way off, by about 32 million. DLH made roughly 45 million in that fight and Floyd made less than half, 20.

            Link

A total of 2.15 million households in the US paid USD 54.95 (euro 40.60) for the fight, which a person close said would be worth USD 45 million (euro 33.3 million) for De La Hoya and just over USD 20 million (euro 14.8 million) for Mayweather.

That person requested anonymity because the promoters did not want official figures released.

The USD 45 million (euro 33.3 million) would be the biggest purse paid to a fighter, higher than the USD 35 million (euro 25.9 million) purses Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield reportedly were paid for their second heavyweight bout, the infamous "Bite Fight" when Tyson bit Holyfield's ear.

Mayweather beat De La Hoya on a split decision Saturday night in an entertaining fight that drew a record live gate of USD 19 million (euro 14 million) at the MGM Grand Garden arena in Las Vegas.

The American cable channel HBO produced the bout through its pay-per-view arm.

Ross Greenburg, head of HBO Sports, credited the success of the network's "24/7" reality show that ran in a coveted Sunday night slot for three weeks leading up to the fight with helping sell the bout.

If you have a link that shows PBF made 70 million against SSM I'd be very much interested in it.

Mayweather JR.,from a recent news, rejected a $65Million to fight Pacman, Now he is being offered 45M to fight Ortiz, and it seems that he is going to accept it!

Mayweather JR is indeed DUCKING the current P4P Boxer Pacman!
