Them backing the brinks truck up to get Floyd to fight makes sense for GBP and HBO, they needed to make a splash and the only guy capable of generating this sort of buzz (that doesn't have any fight plans) is Mayweather.

It helps that Ortiz will make less than a normal Floyd opponent so that takes out some risk and the fight should do big enough number to justify that cost.
