How the hell did Pac avoided Ortiz when Ortiz moved UP to face Berto?

FYI Margarito has been 1-2 in the last couple of years but that doesn't take away what he has done in the last decade. What has Ortiz done apart from beating Berto at WW? Not jack ****. Again, I'll say it, I give props to Floyd for fighting Ortiz but you guys can't discredit Pac's (apart from Floyd's leftovers) opponents at 147+.

Pac could have "selected" Otiz instead of JMM (at WW). You know, Ortiz who's an actual WW title holder.

Again Pac hasn't fought anyone that was top 3 in any division since what, Cotto (at a catchweight)? Or are you going to say Margarito was an elite TOP JMW??? What about a 39 year old non winning Mosley who Floyd already technically destroyed? What about Clottey who hasn't won fight since 2008?

Pac didn't want Mosley when he destroyed Margarito. Pac didn't want Berto. Pac didn't want Ortiz. Pac said no to Mayweather then Mayweather said no to Pac so that didn't happen.

Who else other than Cotto (who Bob Arum told Floyd "NO" to back in 2006) has Pac beaten that was MORE impressive than Mayweather vs Mosley and soon to be Mayweather vs Ortiz? Who BOTH where ranked top 3 at WW.

So wait a minute, Ortiz is better than Margarito who's been a top WW for around a decade?

Again, Ortiz was in no way a harder fight than Margarito but I do give props to Floyd for taking a fight against Ortiz apart from another WW opponent.

Margarito was undeserving of a fight with Pacquiao. Shane Mosley absolutely wrecked Margarito, much worse than Maidana beat Ortiz. Margarito lost simmer and failed to regain that back. Ortiz regained his stock PLUS improving as a fighter in the process. He's hungry, has a belt, and has a pretty good win over Berto.

Ortiz is better than Margarito currently anyway. He's finished (margarito)

At 147 right now or even after the SSM fight Ortiz is a much bigger threat and a better fight than Margarito would be at 147.

Margarito after SSM had an enforced layoff and came back at 154. This is after brutal fights with Williams, Clottey, Cotto and SSM. How would the Margarito that Manny fought at 150 be a bigger threat than Ortiz right now?? If we are talking about the MArgarito who fought Cotto or even before then, then yes he would be a bigger threat to Mayweather at 147......but we're not talking about that Margarito, we are talking about the one who fought Pac.


The bottom line is that this fight is better and more legitimate, than Margarito vs Pac, SSM vs Pac and now JMM vs Pac. It's even more legit than the Clottey fight, because stylistically Ortiz is not "made to order" for Mayweathe in the manner Clottey was for Pac.


Mayweather may be fighting less frequently, but he is fighting better fights. The ODLH and Ricky Hatton that Mayweather fought are arguably better (there is no argument in the case of ODLH) than the versions Manny faced. The version of SSM (whilst in hindsight was still crap) is greater than the version Manny fought, and it was more relevant because he had just skull ****ed Margarito.

Pac vs Cotto was a good fight for Pac, but still he fought it when Cotto was coming off a beating from Margo and a brutal fight with Clottey and did himself no favours with a CW, when he clearly would have beaten Cotto without it.

Floyd haters are owned with the confirmation of this fight. Floyd fought JMM out of retirement with no tuneup fight when JMM was ranked #2 in p4p. He fought Mosely when Mosely KO'd Margicheato and looked impresive. He now is fighting Ortiz when Ortiz just beat the fighter miss pacman was scared to fight and is doing it coming off more then a year layoff. Miss pacman is fighting all these cans while Floyd is fighting guys who are looking impressive in there fights coming off wins. Manny is a joke IMO by not fighting Ortiz. Ortiz looked good in the Berto fight, he's an experienced figher, he's young, and has alota buzz around his name after beating Berto so why didn't Manny take that fight, there's no excuse IMO.

Take it easy, this is a great fight and I CANT WAIT for it but let's not go crazy. Floyd out weighed jmm by like 15 pounds when they fought and shane hadent fought in over a year and a half not to mention was old as dirt. This is the most impressive move floyd has made in years and he deserves all the props in the world for it. Hopefully after pac eats jmm and floyd takes vic to school we can get the real fight we be all been waiting on.
