JCC has never train a boxer in his life and now He knows more than Roach? Sounds like He will be a pain on Roach's azz and another distraction for JR. One that He doesn't need before facing Cotto's timing and skills.

meh, chavez only needs ariza from roach's camp really, he fought like he always does, and when he tried to do new things he looked like ****, difference was all about conditioning....

I completely agree. Also, eventhough Chavez Sr. isn't a well spoken guy when he's behind a mic and sometimes makes such bad comments outside of the boxing subject, he's always nearly spot on when he commentates what a boxer has to do to win. He knows the sport well enough to be part of his team, I just wouldn't like him on his corner because he's too emotional.

Cotto can beat Chavez despite the huge difference in size there will be...

Is Cotto still coming up to be a free agent? Or did he resign with Bob Arum?

If Chavez SR is a better trainer than Roach, then why hasn't he been training his son this whole time?

And some of u ****ers are ******. Chavez wants to fight like a true Mexican... even Margarito didn't use his height and reach like some of u guys want Chavez Jr to do. What Chavez Jr needs is to use his size to his advantage just like Margaret did.

Chavez Jr wont fight tall because Roach isn't training him right. He is not fighting tall because he doesn't want to

                And thats Roach's fault?

That a 6+ foot tall chavez was taught as an inside fighter? No trainer is going to change 10 years of a style in 2 fights.

And you want Chavez to become a defensive fighter now?! His offense wins fights, and thats roach's game

People are starting to realize that roach sucks always has suck how many fighters has roach made into world champs from scratch none that iam aware of. In fact every fighter roach trained has gotten thier ass whooped.pac is his greatest achivement and even that pac can train himself and get the same resualt that roach apprantly did with pac. Gracia would be perfect for pac he would really get the best out of pac

Hard to break old habits man, training fighters isn't easy and most leave the trainers game because fighters just don't listen.

9 times out of 10 when I teach a kid something, he goes into the ring and does the opposite...lol

It takes time for him to have that moment of clarity when it all comes together and it takes time. Remember, Jr started at 16 and has never had one amateur fight.

It will take more than 3 training camps with Roach to improve this kid and even then, I don't know if it will ever happen. You can see his father in him as far as technique, he loves digging to the body, especially with the left hook.
