In case somebody is confused, the translation is off here at beginning.

It should say: "It's not going to be October 1 because HBO is scheduled to present..."

Your out of your damn mind!! And JOSHUA CLOTTEY was a draw???????? Joshua Clottey doesn't even have fans in his OWN country of Africa??? Nobody barely knows who he is there, atlest Martinez has the boxing fans behind him, all boxing fans will watch him fight, not casual fans.

clottey is under top rank. Obviously Arum is trying to set up cotto vs Chavez....You know his own in house fights. He is not trying to protect junior. He is trying to make more money sacrfice chavez for cotto. And anyway Chavez vs Martinez would be considered a cherry pick fight. That fight would be a one sided beat down. Chavez jr is a bum.

I understand and look at it from both sides. I understand the beef with promotional rivalries (Arum's fault along with the rest of the promoters) and the FINAL decision on who Cotto/Jr. will fight (their fault).

I understand what you're saying it just doesn't change my view on Arum and the boxers themselves.
I'm not asking you to change your mind about Arum, anyone can see he is a snake.

I'm just saying that guys like Chavez will fight who they line up for him. His concern isn't making fights, his concern is about getting better and keeping his belt.

Same with Cotto, he may be significantly better than Chavez and be a better name but even a fighter of his level is told who to fight. He's at the end of his career, they want to make money off of him, that's priority #1.

Doesn't matter if Clottey is under Top Rank, he still is NOT a PPV attraction, but I guess Bob Arum made up for that since he didn't have to share the generated money with any OTHER promoters.

Boy boxing is getting sad, all I see is a entire division of people ducking Martinez, scared as ****, I though Paul Williams and Margarito was ducked, but not like they duck Martinez.
