Comments Thread For: Khan Admits Prescott is a Future Target, Not Maidana

WBA light-weltwerweight champion Amir Khan has revealed his future plans to World Boxing News amidst former opponents Marcos Maidana and Paul McCloskey clambering for a return with the former Olympic silver medallist. The 24 year-old has already signed to fight Zab Judah in a unification and hopes to add more belts to his haul after victory over the New Yorker.

Thats right, Khan got unfinished business with Prescott. **** Maidana, **** Mccartney. Those are the words of a true champ, not like those of a coward "what if I lose, I'm out of the sweepstakes for a big fight".

I wouldn't mind seeing Khan-Maidana II in a year or two but it's a joke that Maidana is apparently (according to the WBA at least) entitled to another shot just because he beat Morales, who was not even considered top 20 at the weight going into that fight.

The prodigal son will return to his dad. I won't be holding my breath on that one. I see him doing like Hopkins did to Roy Jones and waiting for him to get older and shot. Although Prescott isn't really that good of a fighter now. I have no doubt Amir can beat Prescott.

I really can't understand why he has to give Maidana another shot so soon. **** the WBA.

I don't think people have really watch Prescott's last fight, It might not have been against top tier but Prescott has improved a lot, higher output, used his jab well, more movement, and patience with Prescott being a bit bigger than Khan with the same athleticism and agility I say Prescott has Khans number, Khan is not big enough to keep the nearly 6" Prescott off of him and will always get caught clean at some point with Prescott's longer reach and we all know what happens when he catches Khan clean zzzzzzzzzz
