John Ruiz should get some respect!

he wont fight james toney again. he even sent a letter to the WBA to prevent another toney/ruiz match. so, hes not as willing as you make him out to be.

and just because he has no skill and hes a champion doesnt mean he deserves credit for ****. that just means hes lucky and he knows don king is fixing all of his fights.

He's not talented, he's just a cheap fighter. I mean the way he punches then clinches is a decent strategy, he's using it because he has limited skill. Either way, I don't really think he cares what people think of him. He's got his money...

No joke, its what I think and I think so called boxing fans who direspect fighters are not real fans, just people who wanna see other people get hurt. They care nothing for the artistry and the chess match that boxing is. Just because Ruiz has a strategy to hit and hold, so what he wins.

artistry? JOHN THE BUM RUIZ is in the same sentence as ARTISTRY?! winky's fight with tito was art. wlads fight with peter was art. guys that ACTIVELY box and move and dominate is art. john the bum ruiz is just a moron with a cheap tactic and crooked judges.

I agree with the sentiment. Ruiz hung in there with a juiced Toney WITHOUT the clinches. He's no world beater but he's a decent pro at this point in history.

Think about it like this, do you think all art is beautiful, I know I don't. This is the same with Ruiz, its artistry, just not art that you prefer. But he wins!

This is mostly true but damn he is boring...The most exciting parts of his fights are when he gets KDed or in between rounds when his trainer Norman Stone is cursing him or the ref or whoever is around.LOL
