Chavez better stay far away from Martinez until he beats up a few more B level fighters.

The safe wager is probably that Chavez will never be ready for the best of what's coming or there at Middleweight. Martinez? Heck, Sturm, Golovkin, Pirog, Guerrero...different class. We'll see if he can cleanly beat Zbik first.

Wow!! The unfairness of the article just became a little more evident

I'm willing to bet my house that JCC wins this fight. Way too big for Zbik. Martinez another story.

Your opinion is ****. JCC has plenty of talent. The hit on him has always been his training and lack of exp. Since the change to Ariza and Roach, Chavez has stepped up competition and is in much better shape. His big frame and long reach, and plenty of power will be a problem for anyone if trained properly.

Butterbean was a circus act, a joke known to the world, Kinda like Bob Sapp of MMA.

JCC Jr. has boxing in his blood, his father is ATG TOP 25 fighters.

You cant compare a circus act to a young dude who has boxing in his blood.

If you had a son, how would you do it? Would you put him in with a beast right away? Or get him experience.

Dude didnt have a huge amateur career, if he had like 300 amateur fights then yea, I see your point. Dude had 2 amateur fights, so all these pro fights is his learning stone for the title fights.

Very unfair to call him a Butterbean, shouldve saved it for a American HW.

Please dont make articles like this, or you gonna be Michael Marley Jr. aka blogger with no talent and a big mouth.

I get all that and that's expressly stated in the context of the piece. I don't particularly care who his Daddy was though it should be noted he would be nowhere near an HBO main event off the guys he's fought without his name. That's why tonight matters. Is he a real fighter who can be a real contender or just another Top Rank sideshow act. I think with a win he can at least get to the middle of the Middleweight pack. He's not a bad fighter.

                  FuCK JCCJ.

                  Butterbean simply cannot be compared.

                  Butterbean >>>>>> JCCJ

HA! you can’t "Expressly state in context" you either say it or not... I’m sorry you don’t get what people are telling you... the comparison was just whack...

We get it, he is a big attraction because of his name, his promoter is using that to hype, he is privileged in getting a ppv headline, this is the sport.

but does it equal, resemble, come close to or deserve to be mentioned as a butterbean type of event, career or hype; NO, not in my opinion, the young man has talent and no one can say he does not and no one can say he will never get to a higher place, it is up to him and his team.

Absolutely, and interesting to hear Jnr mention that he wants Martinez next.

Personally, If I was him, I would wait

But hey, if he wants Sergio, then so be it.

What I was meaning is that if he wins, Chavez will have no less credibility than Zbik, which admittedly, was not a lot. I still think that Jnr will land himself a top 10 spot with this win.

Is Zbik his first genuine top 10 opponent ?
