If Johnson beats Froch is it more/less impressive than Hopkins beating Pascal?

I'm kinda sidestepping the record Hopkins broke that night and concentrating more on the opponents. Nothing Johnson does in this fight can match the actual record that Hopkins broke.. But both are in their 40's and they're fighting younger champions.

I don't see it happening, but it would be more impressive.

Johnson isn't as good as Hopkins and Froch is better than Pascal so...yeah.

        interesting thread.

Froch is clearly a better fighter than Pascal, but Hopkins was older than Glen is...so I would call it about even.

well, considering hopkins is 46 years old and beat the man at LHW, I'd say hopkins is more impressive.

I also think hopkins would have easy work with froch.

but still an awesome win if johnson can pull it off.

              1. Johnson won't be breaking any records with a win over Froch.
              2. Carl Froch is not The Ring/Lineal champ at 168.

              That's my take on that.

So I picked, almost as impressive. Because if Johnson wins, he's winning the WBC title, which is good at 42 against a top fighter like Froch.

After 40 those 4 years of difference is a lot in boxing and shouldn't be taken lightly.

It would be impressive by Johnson but I have to give the edge to Hopkins.

Froch is fun but has shown flaws when facing boxers as in a Dirrel/Taylor fights

It would certainly be a bigger pure upset, most expected Hop to win.

                  Few expect Johnson to.

Jean Pascal was the betting favorite in both fights. I wouldn't say "most" people expected Hopkins to win. I was usually reading people say Hopkins will get knocked out.
