Can manny fight in the inside?

he has yet to prove it. i say no. problem is, his legs are fast enuff so that he can keep it at mid range. but a fighter like bhop/andre ward would cause problems for manny imo. manny doesnt even think to clinch, i think itll cost him one day.

thats if they clinch manny... his hands are too busy and fights out of clinches if u watch him closely.. once u get in his range u automatically get tagged... usually Mosley clinches alot in fights... but not against Pac he didn't..

There'd be no point for him to do so as it takes away from his attributes which are hand and foot speed.

big difference in those fighters game and mosely's. mosely isnt an infighter and he doesnt fight on the inside all that much. he clinches as a means of defense when he needs to avoid hits. ward/hop/mayweather are legit on the inside and they punch in clinches better than anyone else in the game imo. it would be hard work against guys like that for pac as long as they slow his movement, which, admittedly, might be a lot to ask.

fighting on the inside is more about skills than speed
show me a video of manny fighting on the inside please...

lol im not going to look through videos to find a clip of manny throwing a few punches on the inside. and of course inside fighting is about skills, boxing in general is about skills. but speed helps, and when you are shorter than your opponents usually you can get off first on the inside anyway. In the Margarito fight there were moments when Margarito closed in on him and started firing away on the inside and manny countered back.

but no, manny is not an inside fighter and is not great on the inside. if somehow a fighter manages to fight on the inside, manny can cover up well and counter back when need be, though.

You can't say Manny was dominating Mosley til he picked up the pressure and got inside. He is great on the outside, but his power and savy make him very good on the inside too.

Not very well. He did the most infighting I've ever seen in the Mosley fight, and he looked very sloppy and vulnerable. In a hypothetical world where a welterweight version of Andre Ward could fight Manny, and somehow fight his way on the inside with ease.... That style would absolutely crush and embarrass Manny

(And just becuz I have to with all these Manny ****-Riders around... I don't think a welterweight Ward would be able to easily get on the inside with Manny... Hence the using of the word "hypothetical")
