According to Marco Maidana, the WBA junior welterweight champion, Amir Khan, is using his legal team to avoid a possible fall rematch. They fought in December in a "Fight of The Year" twelve round rumble, which Khan won by decision. In April, Maidana won a twelve round majority decision over Erik Morales to become the WBA's interim champion, and Khan's mandatory. Maidana is looking to return in August or September and talks are ongoing for either Robert Guerrero or rematch with Morales.

Khan/Maidana wasn't even that close. I gave Maidana the last three rounds - and bear in mind R1 has to be a 10-8 for Khan.

It was exciting because Maidana threw nothing but bombs for 12 rounds.

I think he should move on. He should rematch Morales, which was close.

He can rematch Khan later in their careers.
