Bob Arum is "SCUM", I have no proof he knew what was going on, I just feel it in my bones he does not care. It's all about money to ARUM!!!
Arum is not his manager. And, Arum made Cotto a millionaire. By all accounts Arum did a great job and did what a promoter has to do for Cotto.

And, how do we know that Cotto didn't cheat in those fights?

If these sorts of accusations continue, with finger pointing everytime it's convenient. Charges against Pacquiao are going to continue decreasing in credibility Imo. Perhaps it will result in better testing, which would be good. But PED talk is no longer just a Pac -vs- Mayweather's word debate. I would think Floyd and Team are not pleased everyone is stealing their idea. How does everyone think this affects Pac/Mayweather.
How do these incidents relate to Mayweather vs Manny? FLoyd never accused Manny of using anything, and to this day no one can find the link where he said from his mouth "Manny Pacquiao is on steriods PERIOD". The thing with FLoyd is, he has always wanted to have a random test done for that fight from the jump. Manny said you could test him anytime and anywhere, so they throw a weight clause in the contract. Floyd agreed to everything and when it came down to Manny signing he had excuses why he could test...

Thats when people started suspecting Manny of cheating...it wasnt cuz of what floyd asked of him...its when Manny backed out.

Pascal vs Hopkins...Pascal asked for the test during a press conferce after fighting to a draw and knocking hopkins down twice..

Berto vs Ortiz....I was shocked to see Ortiz fight weighing 165 my damn self..and he looked good...better then ive seen before...

it definitely lowers the scrutiny on pac because we all know that now it's just a red herring and excuse for a loss (berto) or a future loss (wifebeater jr).

but it could lead to better testing if everyone starts accusing everyone of PEDs.

like i've said... no one is against better testing as long as it is done uniformly across the board and not targeted at anyone in specific. every boxer should have the benefit of testing, not just a few.

however the testing done for wifebeater/mosley isn't a true random test, even Conte laughed at that testing.

          Never?

How about, "everyone knows the best PEDs come from the Phillipines". "Manny Pacquiao is on them power pellets".

It's gotta be obvious by now that people in general don't take these accusations seriously, and that peds are extremely overrated. In boxing, the accuser eventually becomes the butt of jokes and subject of scorn and ridicule, even called a coward in many cases. It's because accusing someone without any proof turn people off more than anything else. You'll observe that when the accuser gets interviewed on tv, the interviewer never even brings up the testing issue.

I agree, and some fans act like we should just accept the fact that those athletes are liars and cheaters. I'm not the one to give juice heads passes. The answer to the TS question is NO, it makes him look worse. He has created environment that his fans can argue against the importance of WADA testing in professional sports.

No one athlete stance should be against, or delay the progress of better testing. Most North American professional sports are moving in the direction of protecting it's athletes and it's integrity.

There probably was more merit in what Mayweather did originally. However what Pascal did sounded more like attempting to plant an alibi in everyone's minds in the event he failed, and what Berto did was just a shameful display of trying to slander and discredit someone who beat him.

Ultimately they are all accusations and serve to blur what could be a push to clean up the sport. Do you really think Berto clearly making excuses is going to somehow result in PED legislation? Boxing officials: "Did you hear Berto tweeted, Ortiz is on that Spinach?? We better institute different Ped testing!"

No that's definitely not going to happen, and I'd say it's about 50/50 whether or not this sort of slander only undermines the push for improved testing.

Senior and Roger have made very clear statements suggesting he was cheating, and Team Mayweather as a whole has more than insinuated foul play. The point is, the trend of Ped accusations blurs the potential legitimacy and credibility of one of the debates/sticking points surrounding Pacquiao/Mayweather. That sticking point being Peds.

Which serves to support my point that the rise in PED accusations weakens momentum against Pacquiao and Peds. This situation would have been more difficult for Pacquiao if Pascal, Berto and others kept their mouths shut. And the only person having the finger pointed at them was Pacquiao. Now it's a room full of potential users, with none of them having any more evidence against them than the next.

I think a fair new law is anytime a fight is on the scale that is large enough that it merits being on PPV, it mandates improved testing. Although it wouldn't be long before a popular BAD card on HBO had fighters demanding stronger testing. At which point boxing would be at another strange cross roads of what's right/wrong. It's a really tough thing to legislate.

There's no way, smaller and crappier untelevised cards can afford to implement stronger testing. A lot of these cards barely have enough money to put on the actual shows. Additional expenses would make them even less profitable.
