It's an advantage they're using to keep Marquez out of his confortable weight because this fight could have easily been at 140 and even 135.
Also, tell me how Pacquiao would be weak at 135? He doesnt cut weight to fight at 147 and a week before his fights at 147 he's well under 145.

Boxers rehydrate differently, look at Rios, Katsidis and even Ortiz. Just because they rehydrate to 154+ pounds, it doesn't mean they're going to compete at that weight class.
how is jmm not comfortable at 142 when he is very comfortable at 145?....do you mean to say in order for jmm to be comfortable, he NEEDS to cut weight to 135 then bulked yp to 145 at fight night?.....you mean to say, jmm wont be comforatble if he does'nt have to cut weight ?......lol

          here's what i think:

          at 135
          jmm - 145 pac- 148

          at 140
          jmm- 145 .. pac- 148

          at 144
          jmm- 147 pac- 149

so how is their fight on november not a fair fight?......discuss!
fight should be taking place at 140 IB not 147 IB since that weight division is a big jump for JMM from 135 ib but never the less should be a good and entertaining fight to watch and if pac wins then fight sergio martinez at 160 IBs

Dude you clearly do not understand how fighters lose their weight so it's a bit pointless for me to try to debate this with you. Do your homework.

Jmm doesn't have to cut weight either, that by definition is and advantage. Cutting weight isn't good for u. The only reason jmm wants the fight at 135 is because he wants pac to cut weight and weaken hisself. If pac isn't somewhat "drained" most people don't think jmm stands much of a chance.

JMM does not have to weigh in at that weight and can weigh in at 135-142 and maintain his speed if he does it right. VS Mayweather, he tried to bulk up which was a huge mistake because he just ended up being pudgy and slow.

he has to put weight on not cut it. well he doesnt have to, he could weigh in at 135 still if he wants but then hes giving away a max of 9lbs before rehydration.
