Yeah, I get it doesn't change your DNA, obviously.
BUT
I gotta tell you, I grew up in Queens and once I started getting into trouble and after we had some major incidents in the neighborhood my parents moved me out to the suburbs since we came across money (long story). I have to say that, not just with fighting, but with almost everything I've found city kids to be more competitive. Those who have gone to school aren't as book smart as suburban kids, but they hustle their asses off to end up getting a job. Driving, shopping, working, I mean in every way I've noticed how much more driven the city kids I know are than the suburban kids. Not to mention having a TON more common sense. This is my experience at least, maybe not everybody's had this but I know I have.
So I get what he was saying, I don't think he literallymeant growing up in the city changes your DNA, I think he meant it in the sense that it affects the character of the person and, I gotta tell you, I agree with him in that sense
