So every past fighter is overrated? Why is a thread like this useless? It's a simple question...

Vargas after Tito or before? LOL. jk. I'll take Vargas over my boy Cotto due to size and being a more natural jr-welterweight. I think Oscar vs Cotto might be a better matchup at 147.

I know this is a lil off the thread but How bout Tito vs Cheato at 147?

        vargas would fuck cotto up.

vargas was stronger , bigger and more powerful.

plus vargas weakness is his chin. guess what? cotto's chin probably is worst.

          delahoya beats down cotto too.

          cotto can't hurt delahoya's chin.

          delahoya has faster hands.

delahoya's left hook would send cotto to lala land.

Cotto knocks out Vargas at 47 and at 54. Vargas is wide open when he throws. Cotto will catch him with a left hook and put him out! delajoto wouldn't enter a ring with Cotto. He said he'd fight Margarito Cotto winner, then refused to fight either of them.

vargas went toe to toe with tito.

he got dropped several times but he almost went distance.

                  cotto is no tito.

and btw vargas dropped and hurt tito too. cotto doesn't have tito's chin.

It's sad that this guy already has a "prime" so fast.

Cotto became prime, damaged, then past prime all in 5 years. That's ridiculous compared to the guys who have been doing it for a long time like Hopkins, Mayweather, Pacquiao, Marquez and are still not considered damaged/past prime.

If You count from mid 2006 till now, that's 5 years. So he was prime, damaged, and now past prime in 5 years. And if you think about it, you can't really say "it was his style", what style? look at for how long Morales and Barrera fought with their styles, look at how wreckless Pacquiao is, look at their wars.

I'm just tight that a guy like this can get in to the HOF[like people are saying he's gonna get in]. Dude was never even the man to beat in any of his 3 weight classes, never The Ring champion, never the Lineal champ. Then you compare him to other guys who belong in the HOF like the one's I mentioned above and then you realize how shameful it is to put Cotto in the same Hall Of Fame as those guys.

                    Prime Vargas by TKO.

Reason why cotto will make the hall of fame is he fought everybody, exciting fighter, 3 time division champ and is good to the writers which is a big deal just ask robby alomar he should have made the mlb hall of fame last year but didn't reason why the writers said he was a jerk to them. Plus cotto isn't done either, I think he deserves to be in the hall of fame i mean if you look at the ibof classes there has to be people that r head scratches over cotto every hall of fame has them. I"m a cotto fan but i'm a realist too ur right in what you wrote. Those fighters you wrote are going to the hall of fame its not like hes going to bump one of those guys out ya know. Don't take this wrong but u shouldnt lose sleep if cotto makes it to the hall of fame.
