Thats why that date was agreed, Shaw thought he could extend but Tim did the smart move. The thing is Timmy made that move but said dumb stuff like this in the process.
If you're a CHAMP, you NEVER, EVER say "what if i lose?" as an excuse. Thats just dumb. Gotta ALWAYS say you gonna whip the contender's ass. Maybe thats part of why Timmy isn't a big name too.

A sad state of affairs in the boxing world if Mayweather and/or Pacquiao are seen as the prize of a "sweepstakes". The champion has to be available towards being challenged and competition, this is a sport of pugilism - not a beauty contest.

With every interview he does Bradley looks worse and worse. A simple 'no comment' or 'there are things going on behind the scenes that I can't discuss' would be so much better than 'well, I'm scared to lose so I'll pass' and 'I'm a bigger draw in the states' and 'I want to build the Bradley brand'.
His manager needs to put a gag order on him, he's looking REALLY bad right now. Don't know how you can spin this to be anything other than a blatant duck... after HE called out Khan

Seriousy, as of now Khan brings more money to a Pac or Mayweather fight than Timmy, even if Khan and Pac say they won't fight. He's holding out to fight one of two guys in a division that he hasn't even moved up to yet! I mean come on, if you're going to do all of this just to get that fight at least begin your move up to WW.

Saying ‘What if I lose to Khan’ is not business its doubt, and doubting yourself is one thing an elite boxer should never do, especially to the public.
I’m not going to concern myself with the Gary Shaw talk because, Shaw tells a very different story to Bradley and it comes down to who people THINK is telling the truth.

It's seriously ******ed to say Khan - Bradley WILL happen.
HBO is going to pay LESS money for this fight next time. AND Khan is going to move to WW. There are MANY reasons why this fight very likely will not happen in the future.
So Bradley very likely blew his shot at the fight. And when you consider all the trash he was talking, that he claimed Khan was ducking him, its no wonder people think Bradley is a foolish idiot.
At the end of the day it's not business any more than ANY decision from a fighter is business. ITS FEAR. Bradley said it himself. 'What if I lose?' That is the DEFINITION OF FEAR.

Wow Bradley should have never did this interview.
What if I lose?
Can I get a break?
Now he wants to fight no names and stay undefeated.
Now he wants to be like Roy Jones and fight bumbs for millions of dollars.........
Lost respect bro.

If Timothy Bradley is not confident in himself that he is the best. Then, Amir Khan should now be considered the best at 140 poundd.
