Ortiz has some decent names on his resume, Berto, Diaz, Campbell and Peterson( which I believe Ortiz won) are all more than decent names for a young boxer like Ortiz.

You sure you wanna talk about a quitter with Cotto as your fav fighter?

Ortiz does have flaws but so does Cotto and I do respect Cotto as a great champ that he is. But you know that in boxing it's all about styles and I do believe that Ortiz has the perfect style to beat Cotto regardless if Ortiz has "decent" names in his resume or not.

Margarito & Cotto >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Peterson & Campbell in EVERY aspect in Boxing NO QUESTION!

that does it for that, and I'm not arguing flaws, of course every fighters has them and if you wanna call Cotto a quitter, that's fair, but he quit to an Elite while Ortiz quit against Maidana, and then justified it in his post fight interview, remember Miguel Cotto went thru a similar war early in his career where he shared knockdowns with Ricardo Torres, Cotto didn't show not ONE sign of wanting to QUIT, came back and broke Torres DOWN!...I like Ortiz too actually reminded me a lot of Miguel Cotto, being that he was big as hell for Jr WW, and had to move up, but as of now, Ortiz still has some proving to do, because I'm sorry, but beating up an OLD and WASHED up Campbell and Harris does nothing, he drew against Peterson and has only beat Berto who's worth mentioning which was very impressive, but to say he can beat and KO someone like Cotto who's been in there with Pacquiao, Margarito, Mosley, Judah, Clottey, etc sounds goofy, anything can happen and Ortiz can possibly beat him, but as of now I disagree, until I see Ortiz whooping ass like he did Berto against solid opposition!

cotto is on another level from ortiz, so that would be the obvious answer. we don't if cotto has still got it because he didn't look too great in his last couple fights, let alone know if he can make 147 easily...i'd favor/root for the younger ortiz, but cotto would be the favorite to win

Let's be honest, if Judah actually put his punches together and didn't get broken mentally he would have won that fight. Cotto won't be able to manhadle Ortiz, Ortiz is just as physical.

Cotto doesn't really have a right hand, is heavily dependant on his left hook, and prone to uppercuts. As long as Ortiz doesn't walk into something big, he takes this fight.

Ortiz buckled Berto with a JAB in the first round BTW.

and if Margarito didn't have an iron jaw he would've been KTFO
and if Pacquiao wasn't as fast and powerful Cotto could've busted more than his ear drum

that logic makes no sense, Cotto did what he had to do to break Judah down, people wanna claim it was the low blows, but it happens when you're a body puncher, all the popular body punchers aimed a little low from time to time,

and Cotto KNOCKED an IRON CHINNED Clottey down with a JAB, that means nothing

Fair enough, I see where you're coming from and I can agree with some of the points you make.

I believe that you're focusing too much on resume value and it does have some validity when analyzing potential future match-ups but I don't believe it's very relevant to this particular match-up. I believe this fight is more about styles making the fight if you will.

We both have different points of views and opinions and I respect yours.

Clottey was off balance, Berto was buckled as in hurt - big difference.

I don't think you see the relevance of my point there, Ortiz actually puts his punches together and just like Judah can hurt Cotto. He won't be manhandled because he's just as physical. Ortiz's biggest problem is getting caught coming in when he becomes to overzealous.

Agreed, Clottey was off balance, he wasn't hurt by the jab.
