      He could go after the other middleweight belts to unify the division. That would make him a dominant middleweight champion like bernard hopkins did.

        Smart move. Martinez has just grown into a MW frame. Too soon for him to step up to 168-175 lbers. Chavez wouldn't give him much trouble but he's a viable opponent if he wins the WBC belt. And whatever happened to Sturm? A Martinez-Sturm fight would probably be a snooze but Sturm might be the best opponent for Martinez right now. Pretty sure he still has a belt himself.
