Future Champion and Superstar Chavez Jr. Mark my word!

Atualy it's much harder fighting in Mexico cause everyone fights everyone it's not like the states where you have an olympian or a good prospect and he fighst 20 to 25 bums than fights the weakest champ or gets help from judges to win fights. Mexican fighters usually have to beat the hardest champ and many times are robbed when beating an american just ask Castillo. Chavez jr does have the fighting history of an American prospect but you must remember he had no amatuer bouts. Some of you clowns wanted him fighting top 10 fighters with 10 bouts. He needed at least 40 bums just to get experience. Have you ever seen an elite amatuer here in the US during his amatuer carrer trust me they fight a bunch of whack out kids. I know i've been to many amatuer boxing tournaments so Chavez fighting bums to get experience is no different than an American fighting whack kids to get experience.Well it's not so hard, he's fighting a not so good champion such as Zbik and in a week he could become world champion. About the superstar thing, well that's not so hard, there are some inflated champs especially in Mexico where you can become superstar without doing anything, juts fighting bum after bum.
Now if we are talking about a true warrior and a world superstar, well I just don't see it. Maybe he's doing better than he was doing in the past, I just don't think he has the necessary qualities to become a great boxer. At least if he fights Martinez he'll get my respect for actually fighting a good boxer, even if he loses (which is the most likely outcome).Comment

He is still a young fighter and his father made him big but let's see if he can step out of that.Comment

I'm sorry to hear you because that's true with regular boxers, Chavez Jr and Canelo are not regular boxers, they're promoted by Mexico's biggest TV broadcasters and they invest a lot of money to make people believe that they're great boxers.Atualy it's much harder fighting in Mexico cause everyone fights everyone it's not like the states where you have an olympian or a good prospect and he fighst 20 to 25 bums than fights the weakest champ or gets help from judges to win fights. Normal mexican boxers start from the bottom beating some bums, but they have to fight better fighters pretty soon in order to get the attention from those TV broadcasters (Azteca and Televisa)... Those fighters are not earning a lot of money, they need to beat good prospects and good fighters to get the money they want.
In Chavez Jr and Canelo's case, they are already making a lot of money because they're being promoted as idols, even when they have done nothing in boxing terms.
Now about Chavez Jr not having amateur bouts, well OK I actually don't have a problem with him fighting a lot of bums. What I'm against is that he's promoted as a great boxer and most of all that he gets a chance to fight for a world title when he has NO MERITS AT ALL to fight for that championship. It's like Canelo who recently won the LMW championship against a boxer who didn't even fight regularly in that division.
Now there is a slight difference of course, Zbik is the champion and Hatton was just another "contender". However, Zbik championship actually belonged to Maravilla Martinez and they just gave it to Zbik so that Chavez Jr could fight for a world title.
So yes, if he's going to fight to get Maravilla's title, then he should be able to fight top boxers included Maravilla Martinez.Comment

No doubt he gets the WBC title , it is basically being handed to him by Sulimain. They managed to move Martinez outa the picture and Sulimain will make sure he never fights Junior. Then bring in a weak punching WBC champ and put the fight in So cal. All Junior has to do is not get KO'd and he wins a UD. The score cards are already filled out.
Once Chavez gets his title handed to him next week they already said that Rubio will have to fight Martinez and not be allowed in same ring as Chavez Jr. So we will get Chavez jr vs Manfredo and Macklin etc. Slow MW's with little pop. These will headline latin fury PPV's for next 3 years.
Disgusting!Comment
