Future Champion and Superstar Chavez Jr. Mark my word!

i think the kid got the chin to absorb a punch

got the motivation to train hard

just a little more training and he'll be a future champ fighter!

i just hope he wont be too much protected by Arum so we can see him againts a legit opponent or a legit champion!

its time to put him to the test

We are so quick to call out fighters because they are "protected".

I think 24-26 is a great age for the kids to start stepping up. Let them just gain experience while they are young so they can do damage in their prime. There's no sense in ruining a fighter because he's not ready.

he needs to step up his training and his level of opposition sensibly, and start putting a W next to some better names on his resume. A Martinez or Cotto fight is a must

Well it's not so hard, he's fighting a not so good champion such as Zbik and in a week he could become world champion. About the superstar thing, well that's not so hard, there are some inflated champs especially in Mexico where you can become superstar without doing anything, juts fighting bum after bum.

Now if we are talking about a true warrior and a world superstar, well I just don't see it. Maybe he's doing better than he was doing in the past, I just don't think he has the necessary qualities to become a great boxer. At least if he fights Martinez he'll get my respect for actually fighting a good boxer, even if he loses (which is the most likely outcome).

I see he becoming a champ next weekend against Zbik, but I doubt he will ever be a superstar.

Martinez will be Chavez's new daddy after he talks Jr. down from a ledge hrs after their fight in which Martinez humiliates him for 6 rds prior to a vicious left-handed KO. Then Martinez will give Chavez Jr. a job as his chauffeur out of pity for the guy.

Are you kidding me? This kid has no talent at all. He doesn't even have 1/5 of the talent his father had.

Saul Alvarez is the next big thing for Mexico, you can already see it. Chavez Jr is a overhyped bum living off his father's name. I put Pascal in also the same category as Chavez Jr.

Every great champion has at least one thing in common. Speed.

And JCC Jr. doesn't have that crazy speed. I don't think he is going to be great.
