This is a great article by Marley and bodes well for the future of boxing.

A Top Rank & Pacquiao reconciliation with Golden Boy's Schafer and De La Hoya will help redeem Pacquiao, drive Floyd Mayweather further into isolation, and bring the fighters of both camps to the ring for competitive fights.

This is the kind of action that will enhance boxing- no empty ped talk, the best fighting the best, and hopefully great productions that give solid entertainment value for the dollars paid.

And while I love his skills and acknowledge the guy has charisma by the truckload, Floyd Mayweather's actions bring the entire world of boxing into disrepute. This was acknowledged by JET magazine, which is known as the social voice of the African-American world. Floyd should either box, or retire for good and stop jerking the entire sport and its fans around.

Hopefully the Donaire issue is also settled quickly and he can get back to kicking ass.

so you think golden boy's lawyers are releasing a formal, legal apology publicly out of the kindness of their hearts or because of personal growth? Fact of the matter is, the same aforementioned lawyers tried on at least 2 occassions to have the 'petty case' dismissed and each time, the judge told them to go **** themselves. They realized they were fighting a losing battle and would be embarrassed on the stand during depositions. Not to mention the fact that they lost the donaire case and over 2 million buys in ppv revenue when arum snatched up mosley and marquez.

Golden boy was being dismantled from all angles, probably was a huge cause of oscar's substance abuse.

they were given the option of going to arum on bended knee, begging for forgiveness after being checkmated and they are taking it. if it means no more beatings in court and losing their money makers and more co-promotions, then everybody wins.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. At least golden boy is finally doing the honorable thing... Even if it's only because they're cornered, backs to the wall, and getting shelled from all sides. Like nas said 'they were amateurs in beef with a grown man', they ****ed with arum's crown ***el and company, he schooled them in the art of war and brought them to their knees. Hopefully the lessons were learned and bygones will be bygones, time to look to the future.

A good start would be a bradley-ortiz matchup in the fall, in cali, for vic's welter strap. The winner gets pacquiao in the spring. Nice way to seal the reconciliation imo.
