I was just browsing through Tyson's record on boxrec, I didn't know Mike fought 16 times in 1985 when he turned pro and like 14 times in 1986. He was basically 30-0 in only 2 years that's pretty impressive compared to boxers today who fight only 3-5 max. I know Ray Robinson more than 20 times in one year.

If McCall wasnt so ****ed up he could have been a pretty damn successful fighter.
I cant remember where I read the interview, but one of his past trainers was talking about how McCall would never show up for training and be on drugs and partying with hookers the nights before fights.
McCall was one of the most durable bastards I ever saw in the ring, and he had a lot of natural power...shots that didnt look that hard from him would send opponents into lala land.
McCall wasnt the fastest guy around, so Im not claiming he necessarily would have been an ATG. but he already had a respectable and surprisingly long career, including his knockout over Lewis.
Had he been focused on training and improving his skills, I really believe he could have gone pretty far.Comment
