Did Oliver Mccall give Tyson problems in sparring

I was looking at some sparring videos of Tyson and Mccall seems to give Tyson more problems than his other sparring partners.

Tyson was impressed with McCall and though McCall was up and coming, he told him, "you are already a contender"

Oliver McCall didn't have a stellar career, but he has a granite chin. He has never been put to sleep and if I recollect correctly he has only taken a knee to date in his career. He hasn't even been put down. Given that plus his size and power, its not unbelievable that he would give Tyson problems.

I don't see how he can't. Oliver had the size and strength that could give Tyson problems. Oliver had potential, he was just never in the game mentally.

I was just browsing through Tyson's record on boxrec, I didn't know Mike fought 16 times in 1985 when he turned pro and like 14 times in 1986. He was basically 30-0 in only 2 years that's pretty impressive compared to boxers today who fight only 3-5 max. I know Ray Robinson more than 20 times in one year.

Maybe sparring with Tyson so much is why he has a shorter career. I wouldn't doubt that this is true, Mccall gets **** for crying in the ringlmao but he was a good fighter, he knocked Lewis the **** out, so he's by no means a bum.

^I wouldn't doubt it. Hell, McCall was the one who warned Tyson about Buster Douglas when they were giving McCall **** for losing to him prior. I bet they regret not listening to him.
