the only thing they changed in the contract was him no longer needing to pay additional fines.

the fight in the contract was STILL for 144 lbs. they never changed it to 146 lbs. hence, the payment of the penalty.

and the contract was changed practically at the last minute forcing Marquez to agree to it otherwise, all that preparation and time spent would have been wasted.

Cotto was given much time to consider his options and when he finally decided to agree to it, he wasn't FORCED to ANOTHER compromise at the last minute.

in fact, it took quite some time for cotto to decide to the point people thought that the fight wouldn't push through.

Lol both had a choice. They didn't have to fight. Kind of funny that the 2 guys effected by weight lost... ironic.

Lol 2 pounds wouldn't have made a difference what so ever in either fight. Its funny to see you try every way possible to not discredit this fight yet point at every detail to discredit Floyd's .

At the end of the day it still Floyd and Pac who are former jmw and Pac being current WW champions fighting a LW who hasn't won a fight at WW.

if you ask me, pacs last several opponants is one of the best stretch in terms of quality opposition (delahoya, hatton, cotto, clottey, margarito, mosley, and now marquez in november)...but being how pac dominated these fights, pac haters call these opponants as cherry picked.

I think that is a totally absurd thing to say..... RIDICULOUS, in fact.

Martinez, Bradley, Ward, Hopkins, Froch, ALL have a better recent resume than Pacquiao..... even my boy Mares outdoes Pac with Perez, Vic, then Agbeko.

All-in-all, that is a damn shabby line-up for a supposed P4P fighter, especially when you consider all of the advantages afforded to Pac during those fights..... e.g. fighting for a vacant JMW title, at catch-weight, against a BUM, and using 8oz gloves

Now, I can understand a top fighter taking the odd bout against a lesser opponent.....
but EVERY opponent in your last 7 fights?

The amount of muscle-mass and conditioning that you can take into a fight is solely determined at the official weigh-in, rehydration weight is completely irrelevant and can even be detrimental.

first of all, marquez and pac is about the same size on fight nite, will weigh basically the same, so no size advantage...

i dont think martinez is too good, its more about martinez being naturally a bigger guy, by 25 to 30 lbs on fight nite...lets see martinez fight a guy that will be 25 to 30 lbs bigger than him, like one of the belt holders of the light heavyweight or the cruiser weight...and lets see how martinez do. martinez is a whimp for wanting to fight a guy that he will outweigh another by 25 to 30 lbs on fight nite...its like pac calling out a bantam weight boxer...and that would be ridiculous
