has calzaghe really beaten better names at 168 than carl froch has, if quality beats quanity then why is joe so much ahead of carl, really?

I really enjoyed the article Jake.

Froch is still largely unknown over here in the UK, which is a crying shame as he is one of the torch bearers of British boxing. Thankfully his next fight is actually on a recognisable channel in sky so hopefully he can finally get the recognition and respect he deserves; he just has to win now! People can say what they want about Carl's style and his defence (or lack of for that matter), but he is has never ducked anyone and always comes to fight. Boxing would be for the better if everyone followed his example.

maybe not at 168, but overall, calzaghe has a better resume because of one name...bernard hopkins!

War Froch, sad that a fighter like Froch has not gotten the respect that he deserves..One of the better resume's of young fighters in the game,Froch wins the SS and moves on to greatness..I don't know if he will pass Joey but he will be great imo..

hmm, regarding the great joe calzaghe.
he took the "wbo "strap from chris eubank and had him on the floor in the very first round! first time for eubank considering his previous visit to the canvas was from a slip against the gutsy michael watson but, was ruled a knockdown.
anyway, jc was an immediate wake up call to the rest of the middleweight classes at the time which included the great roy jones, mcclelland, dewitt, barkley, toney, hopkins, etc all of which were well in their prime and when called out over the proceeding years publically by joe, they all claimed he was never in their league. huh.
this was clearly a load of toffee because none of them wanted any part of eubank who had a rock solid chin with one punch ko power and these fighters with the exception of dewitt and barkley refused to face the dark destroyer a.k.a nigel benn....both were stopped early.
on comes toney giving it the biggun when the only opponents for benn or eubank were each other while toney just shouted insults which infuriated nigel but, again......toney went home and hid in the cupboard. ****.
back to j.c, the only decent yank to face joe was byron mitchell and had joe on the floor and shaken(welsh crowd were speechless) until joe immediately rallied to stop him to a near riot of excitement from the welsh people.
                it was qaulity.
and then, there were madatory defences but, unfortunately for joe they were never really any good except maybe bika, kessler a couple of others but,
they were the names around and that is never his or anybody elses fault.
carl froch needed that loss i think to become better.
                look what happened to abraham.
johnson will lose early by stoppage and he will wear ward down in the final with a late stoppage.

explain to me how carl froch go down as the 2nd best british S.M of all time behind joe calzaghe?.....
It doesn't matter how many title fights they have. It's all about RESUME.

Froch is the ONLY good fighter you have right now that deserves respect.

nice article. Just a small point, Froch fought in Helsinki Finland not Monaco. Monaco was the original location for the AA fight but it was postponed and they had to change the venue
