Well DeGale was acting like an ass. But that doesn't mean some of the hate ain't racial.

Amir Khan is huge in the uk. But he had to battle a lot of racism and hate in that country, he still does according to even Freddy Roach.

The sad truth is the uk is quite a racist country. And I think Amir Khan single handedly proves this. Assif Mahndvi of the Daily Show also says this, that he wasn't accepted in the uk, but in America he was.

Degale never played any "villain", he hated his RIVAL and was confident IN HIS OWN ABILITIES, what's so wrong with that? Groves ran his mouth too but the yobs got behind him as if it was him who won the gold medal for England!!..furthermore Lewis "talked with his fists" and never got anywhere near the support Hatton did!!.. I actually like DeGale and he has A LOT OF POTENTIAL! If he would have went to the Body more against Groves instead of head hunting, then he WINS THAT FIGHT

James Degale was a big favourite going into the fight, we always end up rooting for the underdog. Plus DeGale was constantly calling Groves childish **** like 'ugly' & 'ginger' and the British public just don't like it, we don't like bullies.

I wouldn't even class DeGale as black tbh, so this racism arguement is kinda silly.
