Chad Dawson is a very VERY talented fighter. He can can fight outside/inside, good defense, he's no 1 punch KO guy yet he does have power (he could've taken Diaconu out imo) but he tries too hard to fight like a slick boxer cutie. No killer instinct. I don't know what's up with him, he fights like he's on NyQuil.
it not your opinion..its that hero statement..and you being older than me makes me
mofo, you wanted to have aids at one point(last month) just to sleep with a hooker...you think you can claim youre older than me or better?.....lol.....my grand nephew has a higher IQ than your dumb ass...
1) Effort was put in 1-4 rds
2) He still a rely predominately on that right jab. HE IS ONE HANDED.
3) He looks very vulnerable when he throws a power punch from his non-dominant hand in southpaw stance. In order to generate power in that position, he has to set and lean with his body. If you watch the fight again, there is a slight delay when he wants generate power with that hand. This extra delay is gonna be deadly against a straight right from BHop. I am not sold on him.
4) When he gets tagged, he reverts back to his old way. I think this new approach from Steward probably will not work well. Maybe he can try orthodox stance?!
He looked worse IMO... Was easier to hit then ever before... I guess give him time to improve the new style, but I don't think it works with him. He just needed to be busier and more aggressive with is old style.
The Chad Dawson hate is worse than ever before. And everything being said about Dawson is way too opinionated and hardly any one speaking with facts.
How was easier to hit than ever before? This was his best defensive fight in years, what's more impressive is he did it while also making it his most offensive performance in years. Numbers don't lie.
2009[Johnson Rematch]
2010[Pascal]
2011[Diaconu]
Johnson landed 25% of his punches on Dawson, Pascal landed 27% of his punches on Dawson, Diaconu landed 18% of his punches on Dawson. So how was Dawson "easier to hit then ever before" in this fight?
And you can clearly see, this was his best offensive night in power punches, and total punches landed in general in years.
So to say you don't see any improvement, is to say you haven't been watching his last couple of fights in the last couple of years.

Qualitatively, Dawson and Johnson >> Diaconu.
That quantitative measure is not applicable to the qualitative competition.
There was never anything wrong with him technically
Its his drive thats all ****ed up
He is highly vulnerable to a straight right with his new style.
Don't try to be Hearn. Try to generate xtra power with increase delay is not worth it. He just is not natural at this point and maybe too old to adapt new style.
