Out of all pacs last few fights Cotto and Marg where the best ones andt both had, clearly been dismantled in there big fights before pac.... Floyd fighting Ortiz would be a big step in clearly showing he's dominant in PPVs, skills and opponents compared to pac... Pac has the names but Floyd the substance....

Hatton,cotto,clottey,margarito,mosley all where 1-2-3 fights remvoed from there biggest embarrasments (clottey not so much)

Baldomir,odlh,hatton,jmm,mosley where all coming off of major victorys.. Floyd always fights the better comp in the better situations, Ortiz just beat a guy noone thought he could...

Well said, but to put it more bluntly, Manny likes to fight Has Been fighters on the down slide. He has some substance but it isn't what the Media has made him out to be.

If Ortiz comes to fight, Floyd will have a tough, tough time. He doesn't have the power to put him away and he'll be forced to throw more than he has to. This isn't just a good matchup, but a good matchup of styles as well. Again, I just don't see it happening. Then again, I didn't think Floyd was going to fight Mosley either.

Ortiz is clearly a different prospect at 147.....his chin was better, he was much stronger, he had stamina for the full 12, and this was all while increasing his punch output.

Ortiz has dropped every fighter he has ever faced, even in the loss to Maidana he dropped him.

Personally i think he could make Floyd taste the canvas for the first time.

grunching, will read thread later but if you're not excited to actually want to pay for this fight then you're not a boxing fan imo. A legit world champ who is young and hungry vs one of the best p4p fighters in the world, if anybody sais it means nothing unless its pacquiao is either just a casual fan or a nuthugger/fan of certain boxers only. Ortiz vs. Floyd is a great fight and PBF is a big favorite, but Ortiz def brings something to this. Cant wait, hope it true

And honestly this is the guy (Vicioius) is the guy Pacquiao should be fighting, instead of JMM at 144 lol what a joke of a fighter Pac turned out to be. And calm down Pac fans, I used to love and root for him in all of his fights with the mexican greats from back then EM, MAB, JMM...but now?? No thank you
