Why would he fight Hopkins again? it was the most boring fight ever and no one would buy it on ppv. Instead he fought Roy Jones coming of a series of impressive wins and beat him up and made a lot of $

for all you hacks that think that fight was boring, you're ignorant to the sweet science and the nuances of the sport.

that fight was fought at a highly skilled level, from both parties, more so from hopkins because of his clean and effective punching as well as making calzaghe look like an amateur.......

quit repeating what the dismissive parroting of joe calzaghes words by it being a boring fight...... i was there, the place was live, the crowd was WAY into it, and both guys fought to implement their game, if that isnt exciting to you, then go watch WWE or something to that effect, because you fail to see the real skill that was a major part of that fight...........

people keep repeating the same lines over and over again and have no clue on what the **** they're talking about......... pertaining to hopkins vs calzaghe.

yet, they all love these so called action fighters that put up some of the most boring fights in recent boxing history..... mayweather and manny pacquiao being two of the biggest culprits of this..........


hopkins vs calzaghe was a chess match, if you don't like it and thought it was boring, then you're not a fan of the sport of boxing, you're a casual fan with no knowledge of the sport, the science, and really don't have much to offer in the realm of boxing discussion, it's not just you, there are a legion of simpletons who have zero clue to what it's all and really about........

at this point i'm not even going to discuss who won, i'm defending the fight, which was a classic match up and unfolded like a game of high level world championship chess.........

maybe the tough man competition is more your thing????no skill or no talent, just guys swinging away..... sounds like that is what you're looking for.....

He has a better ATG ranking and in his prime he was a much better fighter than Joe ever was. 43 year old hopkins nearly got the W against JC, imagine what a prime bhop would have done.

Mind games, publicity, etc., that's what hopkins is about pre-fight. When hopkins said he was going to KILL pascal in the rematch does he look foolish? No because no one took that literally. Hopkins gave Tito's dad beans and rice before the fight. He does this stuff to get people mad, he wants them angry and emotional. Kudos to Joe for not really buying into it.
