It will be a good fight for however long it lasts. I don't think JMM will get on his bicycle like Shane did, although you never know (I never thought Shane would). I expect him to fight Pacquiao like he did in the first two fights and produce another classic in the third.
I don't see the size advantage as much of a factor as some people. Pacquiao is still a lightweight in a sense, he comes in on fight night at 147 or 148. JMM looks like garbage at 147 if he's trying to make 147 and if he's actually fighting a true 147 fighter (like PBF). He isn't fighting a true 147 pounder so all he has to do is come in what he's comfortable in and retain his speed. I think it will be a mistake if he tries to bulk up again like he did against PBF and sacrifices his speed. He came in at 145 against Katsidis and I think he should come in somewhere close to that, 144-146 range.Comment

It's like this... If Pacquiao beats Marquez, it's because at this point in time he's a better boxer than Marquez. When Mayweather thrashed Marquez, it was because he was the superior boxer. Mayweather didn't completely shut out Marquez in his fight with him because he was "naturally" 12 pounds bigger. And if Pacquiao beats the **** out of Marquez it ain't going to be because he's 10-12 pounds bigger. Weighing 10-12 pounds more than a guy is not going to help you whoop somebody's a$$. I don't care what nobody says.
Armchair enthusiasts & fanboys (who need an excuse when their favorite fighter loses) tend to put way to much of an emphasis on trivial weight differences. Trivial meaning 10-15 pound differences between boxers which mean little to nothing in deciding the outcome of a fight. There are entirely too many weight classes anyway. In my humble opinion, all of these "junior" & "super" weight classes need to be done away with. Going from lightweight to welterweight is only 1 weight-class jump in my mind, and when you're a p4p ranked boxer, you SHOULD be able to make a weight-class jump and be able to fight a competitive match, regardless of minuscule weight differences.Comment

Personally I think this fight is a joke, Bob Arum is a cancer in boxing putting Pacquiao in there with old worn out fighter after old worn out fighter ripping off the boxing fans and making the sport look like a joke to the casual fan.Last edited by -Lowkey-; 05-24-2011, 03:45 PM.Comment
