Greater resumé, Trinidad vs Barrera

My point is that if Oscar biggest cheerleaders. Ones who always gave Oscar the benefit of the doubt every F'ing time didn't think he won that round clearly. So that says a lot.I dont know what youre talking about anymore, and I dont think you do either. you just keep avoiding the facts I bring up, and your general dispoistion(well, basing it off of text on the internet...) seems vindictive.
Even if we make believe that the 4th round "could have gone either way"...which I flat out dont believe if were actually basing this on clean punches landed and/or damage...Then lets think about it.
Oscar clearly won rounds 3,5,6,7, and 8.
Trinidad clearly won rounds 12, 11, and 10.
I have seen a number of people of all qualifications score 1,2, and 9 for Oscar.(and I guess the 4th round falls in this catagory too, for arguments sake...)
you really, really think its fair to score a 12 round fight for someone who only clearly won 3 rounds...?
that reasoning seems more than a little flawed.
Also, again you bringing up other people like Cox and now "number of people" who had Oscar winning or whatever. First of all Cox is no more credible than Cliff Rold and you know that. I have seen number of people who have scored that fight for Tito as well. So what's your point?
My point is the fight was way too close to be called a robbery. Whoever says it was a gift can't be taken serious. Does Oscar have a case for winning that fight? Sure. If you thought Oscar won the fight? That's fine, I can see that. But, there are plenty of people CREDIBLE people who had that fight for Tito.
This was no Whitaker-Chavez, Whitaker-Ramirez, Casamayor-Santa Cruz, Campillo-Shumenov II, Martinez-Cintron type of decision. This was a fight that people felt one guy won other felt it was a draw, others felt the other guy won. That type of fight can't be called a robbery. Oscar own F'ing corner said "oscar not another round like that the last one" after round 10 or 11. If F'ing Oscar had the fight in the bag, who the Fuck would Oscar corner act like that?
I don't understand why fans just throw the word robbery and gift so loosely nowadays. Every freakin fight that goes the opposite way from what they score it is a freakin robbery/gift.Comment

I dont often call fights robberies either. but its clear as day that Trinidad didnt deserve the win. I would be fine with a draw, its plausible, but a win? not a chance.
again, Oscar won rounds 3,4,5,6,7, and 8 clearly. thats all he needed for the draw. Go rewatch those rounds, theyre very easy to score. enoug with all this 'cheerleading' garbage. go watch them in slow motion if you want.
Oscar obviously won 6 rounds and Trinidad only clearly won 3. the rest are up for debate. thats how you score boxing matches, its rounds won and nothing else. and Trinidad did not deserve the win, period.
Im done here. youll never change your mind, Im getting sleepy, and Oscar won rounds 3-8 and even theoretically won 117-111. sounds obscene to have Oscar winning every close round, eh? but its no more ridiculous than having Trinidad win every close round, and even then he would have only gotten a draw...
I had fun conversing. and being right. muahahha!Comment

The first four rounds were close, something often forgotten in the fog that has morphed from Oscar ahead after eight to Oscar won ALL of the first eight. I had Tito up 2-1-1 after 4 with the first even and Oscar winning the third. Oscar didn't really take off IMO until 5 and swept through 8. He was winning 9 a minute in big, got clipped with a piece of a right, got on his bike and gave up the rest of the fight. I could have scored 9 for Oscar based on the first minute. 2 and 4 could have gone either way. He was up 5-2-1 on my card and still blew it so I never worried much. One point on an ASS fight that still gets too much play.My point? My point is that he breaks down every round in real time and in slow motion and scores it accordingly. and its pretty obvious if you pay attention that Oscar won at the VERY, VERY least 6 rounds in that fight.
I respect rold and his historical boxing knowledge undoubtedly, but his scoring here is something I flat out cant agree with. How do you score rounds for someone who is missing their shots, and getting peppered with more in return?
Its like Hopkins-Pascal I, where people dont want to give a fighter credit for the win just because it was somewhat close. thats bs. They(Hopkins and DLH) deserved to win these fights.
There are literally only 3 or 4 rounds you could guarentee for Trinidad in that fight. in other rounds you could have given him could have been also scored for DLH. wheras Oscar clearly won rounds 3 4 5 6 7 and 8. the end.
They both came out looking like mierde. Tito recovered for one awesome run. Oscar never really did, balancing a solid win over Vargas versus learning how to lose well most of the rest of his big fights.
To the thread, Barrera >>> Tito.Comment
