A lot of credit goes to Pascal, he was doing his best to win, not just survive all throughout the whole fight and really pushing Bernard at times. Not getting discouraged and being classy and respectful in defeat. B-Hop is just a different animal.
Jean Pascal deserves respect, he didn't discredit hopkins

Maybe because I didn't see the 1st fight but Pascal must have been rotten if that performance on saturday was 'doing his best to win'. I though he was ****ing rancid! He was happy to let Hopkins school him from round 1. Hopkins clinches and leans and Pascal happy to give some man hugs back from the start. Not even the slightest will or want to break off a clinch and try and punch on the inside. I'd be happy if I never see the dude fight again.Comment

I have to agree with this.Hopkins already openly ducked Dawson after the Pascal victory(Richard Schafer did it for him in so many words).
You people really aren't that bright are you? Anybody here remember when Dawson was champ at 175? Anybody remember hearing Hopkins calling Dawson out? That's because it never happened. Because he knows he will lose and more than likely lose badly.Comment

It doesn't matter if he dropped the issue or not. He should've never brought it up in the first place.
If he wanted OST, he should've asked for it in the contract. Not signed the agreed deal, then demanded OST weeks later. Not to mention hurl unfounded allegations at Hopkins about doping in public like a moron.
I don't think people realize how much damage these moronic claims can do to a man's reputation and legacy. Hopkins has been a clean fighter by all accounts, since he turned pro back in the 80's.
And it's not exactly like the guy is dominating fights these days and knocking guys out left and right. He's faded quite clearly to anybody who's watched his career more than just the past 5 years. He's clearly showing signs of slippage, but he has just enough left physically to get the job done, and the rest he makes up for mentally, and with experience.
Pascal is an idiot. And I respect no man who levels unfounded accusations as serious as these at another man in an effort to dimish his reputation.Comment
