Vanes looks as if he doesn't try to punch through the target, instead he pulls them back after contact, trading power for speed/defense. It'll hurt him against opponents who don't respect and can handle his power and be able to land clean on him at the same time. Ouma couldn't miss him with the 1 in combination after the 1-2 from the southpaw stance (the good thing for Vanes is that not many southpaws throw that combo). He's a good fighter in a weak 154, he will have a good chance to be a top 10 contender, as long as he's put against good styles for him.

Don't know about Jr., his lack of power and strength coupled with his style and lack of defense will get him in trouble soon enough.

Jr. landed some nice clean left hooks and a few pretty good combinations in there. The shovel hooks landed right inside Vanes' face guard, which made his face look as if he took more punishment. Vanes worked him over though. He did pretty much whatever he wanted.

        well said bro... i agree.

we hope to see a veryyy solid Vanes on June 4 co-main event, so HBO picks him up again.
