Very good sparing for both. Vanes has the speed advantage so he looked good. But in a real fight I dont see how he can hurt Chavez, he definately has the skills to outpoint chavez but if the fight goes inside I see chavez breaking him down.

Too bad Vanes fails to impress in the ring, I'd honestly pick Chavez Jr. to beat him there.

Yeah he looked lethargic versus Ouma and Green, he could be one of those guys that is great in sparring with the headgear but no so much in the Pro Ring.

He saids that he even stopped Dzinziruk in sparring, i wonder if he would look that good versus the ukranian without the headgear.

Yea I agree, Vanes is the much faster fighter and punches in combos which I like about him.

Chavez looked strong though and I was surprised as to how good he looked at times from the outside.

He has a lot to learn still and sparring with guys like Vanes is what he needs. It will only make him better.

Vanes will fight Saul Roman, unlike Greene, Roman will be agressive and that will help alot the fight, there will be fireworks for sure in that fight

After watching that video there is no chance at all that Chavez JR goes more than 7 rounds against Cotto. Dude has no defence at all and is not using his height by bending and looking the hunchback of notre dame. Chavez has no speed and no power.
