Why isn't Hopkins being trashed like Manny was about taking this "test"?

I am actually starting to believe its a race issue. I havent been here long, but have been an observer of the forum before joining. It seems as though being an AA fighter gets you a pass for things other fighters get hammered for. This is one example, the Khan Bradley situation is another, the slick AA fighter thing is another, the racist language that gets used here frequently is another and there are so many examples of it here.

This type of crap makes this forum extremely hard to read at times, and I truly believe that a fair number of the AA's here truly believe that it is impossible for them to be racist. ***in sad cases.

BHop has always been praised for his superior boxing skills and has always been a naturally big huge guy, at middleweight for sure and even know he is not a small LHW by any means. This is not the case for Pacquiao, as he has never been considered a very good tactician, true boxer or counter puncher. He relies on his speed/power, which BHop does not.In fact as good as BHop has looked, he hasnt blown anybody out or even gotten close to stopping someone. Pacquiao seems to touch ppl nowadays and they go down. Where as vs smaller opponents he never really had true one punch ko power. It stands to reason that a small guy fighting vs bigger opponents that doesnt have half the boxing skills or defense of BHop would find a way to increase his only strengths as a fighter, that of which being speed/power which hgh does wonders for.

hit the nail on the coffin but everbody will ignore your post

Seriously, Im just saying that Manny deserves the same respect as Hopkins - he doesn't deserve to have his honor and word as a man stomped on.
you idiot it was never written in the contract or anything. 2 days before the fight this pascal kid starts mind games asking hopkins to take some sort of test. why the **** would he do that

I know they're thinking it because they think it for every fighter that isn't black.
well, one common trend of racists/biased individuals is they tend to react violently when you point out the truth. they say that what you said is ******, or nonsense.

its part of our ever flawed human nature though, so this kind of reaction shouldn't be a surprise.

WTF....there is a world of difference.......there is ABSOLUTELY NO RACE ISSUE.....

Firstly, the reason the drug test was highly talked about was because IT WAS A MEGAFIGHT..........Pascal vs Hopkins is a regular fight (with the added bonus of BHOP chaing a record).........so BHOP saying no to drug testing wont make the headlines because there is no REAL desire to see the fight outside boxing fans........

IT WAS NOT IN THE CONTRACTS.......why accept a stipulation AFTERT THE CONTACTS HAVE BEEN SIGNED......if Floyd did the same, EVERYONE would have gone against him, espcially if it stopped the fight from taking place

BHOP ALSO LOOKED HIS AGE IN PARTS OF THE LAST TWO FIGHTS....BHOp was ALWAYS KNOWN to have a great chin and was never hurt before the two fight....HE WAS KNOCKED DOWN LEGITMATLY in the first fight...he was also hurt TWICE yearsterday

He hasnt maraculously added power to his arsenal, nor has his stamina improved greatly......he won the fight using his superior boxing IQ......

Care to explain how my response was a double standard? That was the only reason why I called him ******. He didn't explain why he thought it was a double standard. He just made the bland statement like he had no idea how to respond. Which is what alot of *******s do.

Yet I'm "biased", nah I'm just a boxing fan who can see the truth. Instead of informing me about human nature, why don't you just explain to me why you think my statement is a double standard?

Maybe its because Hopkins is a student of boxing and outpointed the younger, stronger, faster man. He waited for Pascal to gas and capitailized on his weaknesses. That's what good boxers do. He didn't eat Pascals best punches and bulldose right thru him, big big difference. But then again... Hopkins isn't fighting a hand picked overly matched opponent either.

is that so? i though the people Pac fights are:

                    1. WEIGHT DRAINED.
                    2. SHOT.
                    3. HAS BEENS
                    4. WERE COMING OFF LOSSES AND THUS NOT AT THEIR PRIME
                    5. OLD AS HECK.

if pac really fought such low-class opposition, then why should his performance be considered exceptional?

i mean, would one's performance actually be so questionable if you fought walking-dead fighters where all you had to do was push them and they'd fall down?

meh... what you said was just a long-winded excuse for double-standards.

Add to the fact that BHop trains on a daily basis, lives a clean life style, and actually takes care of his body. I don't see how it's a double standard. It's just an excuse made by *******s who want to play the race card because they're being treated "unfairly" hmm, sounds familiar.
