Hes fought Taylor twice, Tarver, Winky, Pavlik, Calzaghe and Pascal twice.

And thats just since 05 while hes old and past it. Floyd and anyone other fighter from this era has big time catching up to do.

Not even including Tito, Joppy, Johnson, etc.
Some guys are different than other Hopkins has aged like a fine wine, he proved that a long time ago though. This doesn't change that.

Hopkins has been inconsistent if you are just talking the recent era, even if you say he hasn't been beaten decisively which is true he could have done more to win all those fights he didn't win. You have to mark that against him.

Hopkins is a great fighter view him however you desire, but I just don't see how this win is a game changer.

I think Hopkins belongs above both RJJ and May on the all time list though.
Bernard's career after 40 was more impressive than Roy's under 30. Would have loved to have seen them fight in 2000-2001.

hopkins is probably the last great fighter we have.

these cherrypicking ******s like floyd and manny could never fill b-hops shoes. I don't even care that hes racist, i admire his skills so much it dont matter.

Mayweather. Live a clean life and your career (inside and outside of boxing) shall propel you to the next level.
              Look at BHop and Foreman.

Second thread on Floyd Mayweather Jr tonight, indirectly involving him in the Light Heavyweight division, when this guy is a welterweight.

                  Laughable to say the least.

Can't talk about any boxing related topic, without bringing this man up. I mean Bernard Hopkins made history tonight, and all you morons can bring up is Floyd Mayweather. You are just praising Floyd. That something this big happens in boxing, that Floyd had nothing to do with, and you STILL have to bring him up. It's a must to bring up Floyd in any BOXING conversation, or else it won't feel like a boxing conversation, from what I see.

This is something that probably won't be happening again at least for over 10 years.
