donaire by late stoppage. donaire has been in there with hard punchers ( darchinyan, montiel, marquez and now vazquez jr) so i don't see rigo being able to significantly hurt donaire..and i also still question rigo's chin and heart.

The only way rigo loses is if he gets clocked by a big one as he is a bit chinny. Bsides that, rigo much too good.

Yeah.. he sure doesn't keep his chin up and throw wild flurries.

Thats probably the exact reason he's bested Gamboa what.. 4 times in the ams?

But Rigo has the speed to match Donaire and counter him, very solid defense, great footwork. I'd pick Rigo, but it's really a 50/50 fight to me.

The above posts sum up my sentiments for this match-up. I'm still leaning slightly in favor of Donaire, but that could easily change. This might wind up being a rather boring fight if it's made, but could easily end in spectacular fashion. I hope Nonito gives up that "Rigo is boring" line soon. There are only two real challenges at 122 for Donaire: Nishioka and "El Chacal."

Do you know what a hype job is.

Donaire is a proven fighter who knocked out other proven champion.

Rigo has hot fought 1 great fight or even a b level fighter in his career. He was hurt by a jab against a bum and him beating another bum he is now this great champion even though resume is trash. I bet if donaire knocked him out this year, I bet none of y'all will give him credit and try to bring up that rigo only have 9 pro fight. Yet donaire is the hype job even though he is by far more proven than rigo.
