        hmm

Roy is doing this for himself, and that's the bottom line. His legacy is plenty solid. The haters and doubters will dis him no matter what he does, and that's what they always have done.

There is no reason to fight Glen Johnson if he beats Tarver. Tarver is his nemesis, not Glen. Glen trained like his life was on the line and Roy looked like he trained a week for that fight, plus Glen was just taking advantage of a situation that Tarver created.

Win, lose, or draw...this is probably Roy's last fight. I wouldn't be surprised if he got KO'd again but I would be pleasantly surprised and very proud if he beats Tarver. I'm gonna be in Tampa live to watch it and this feels like a big moment not for just Roy, but also for all fans of his people of Pensacola like me.

          rematch with Glen Johnson?

can't fight Hopkins anytime soon, he has his own "legacy" to deal with in his class..

I guess it all depends how he looks on Oct. 1st...but where would u want him to be? considering he defeats Antonio...

well to me, I say IF he convincingly dominates Tarver this Saturday...I'd avenge my loss to Johnson and call it quits, that should definitely seal his legacy as an all time great...

          what u think?

He will beat tarver, then johnson then hopefully move to heavyweight.

he is strong at heavy, and doesnt have to make a certain weight which makes it easier on his body.

he will beat anyone at heavyweight as long as hes still the same roy, and h will show he is.

Roy can be the best in his era and in what he can do. Period. To say that he was the greatest would be a great insult to boxing. We might as well stop watching fights coz the best is already spent. Roy is a phenomenon, yes, and he has to prove that he has what it takes on being the best in HIS TIME byt beating Tarver and by a KO. If he can't get that. He will at least have a place in history, although a blemished one.

Perfection demand no less than Roy KO Tarver. If he fails, Tarver will step on his shoes. That's the reality, and Roy knows it.

He won't fight Johnson. He'd be ****** too.
There is no money in a Johnson fight & Tarver just beat him anyway.

Tarver is really the only fight left for him. A fight with Toney would be big money. But I doubt Jones would risk losing to a guy he already beat soundly.
The only options I can see Jones hanging around for are, being the Belt hog that he is, he might try to take a belt off Mormeck @ Cruiser or Even Chris Byrd @ HW.

I cannot understand anyone who is picking Jones to win. Even if you thought Tarver got a lucky punch what the hell about Glen Johnson? A lucky 9 rounds? I dont think so. Jones has got nothing left he is too old. Jones did just get knocked out in his last 2 fights he got ****ed up. Glen Johnson doesnt even have a big punch and jones was out for a solid minute before they woke his ass up I honestly thought he was dead. There is no way in hell Jones beats Tarver. If Jones beats Tarver its a mircale on par with Moses splitting the Red Sea.

It's OK fo die hard fans to think Jones can win, but those stoopid ****ers that "try" to analyze tis fight and favor Jones are ****in lame ducks idiots!
