I'm a cotto fan and always will be but i think jcc jr. is catching cotto at the right time, past his prime. jr. is young, motivated, a true 160+ lb middleweight, and has roach and the milk shake master ariza on his side. thats just too much for a past his prime cotto to overcome.

Yeah i'm aware that chavez jr hasn't fought anyone but cab drivers and orange vendors in mexico but still, jr. is fighting cotto at the right time and arum knows this. arum is just setting up jr. to be his next star with pac and cotto reaching the end of their careers. hopefully cotto proves me wrong though.

Cotto fighting at Middleweight is something I'm not thrilled about BUT I think he can beat Jr at 160 or 158 or whatever weight they fight at. I hope Cotto trashes him and then goes after Martinez.

I actually hope someone trashes Jr. Nothing would make me happier but Cotto needs to fight a top opponent, he's already had his back to back tune ups. This would be another one.

He had a huge reach and height advantage in his last fight.

It's always best to have balance. It makes the rivalry fun. I don't like the fans, but the action from the rivalry is always thrilling.

Still, this has only happened in the last few months, really. At the end of the day, it's a fairly balanced rivalry and in due time, I'm sure it will even itself out.

Cotto has a chance to beat Chavez or Alvarez and Morel has a chance to beat Arce if they meet up. It's only a matter of time.
