Pacman weighed in at 140 in his last fight and he damged a guy with a right hook. Who knows I am not talking about pacman taking on the division just Cotto. I think he has a shot pacman is so fast.
And I thought this topic was a joke but you made an excellent point. As far as I can remember, Cotto's unofficial weigh in during that fight was 157 lbs, almost a middleweight. I couldn't remember Corley's unofficial weight that night(nobody cares LOL) but are you 100% sure that he weighed in only 142 that night???

Whoah, so a 142 pounder Corley rocked a 157 pounder Cotto? and Pac weighs unofficially at 140. Hmmn...this might be a legitimate thread afterall LOL.

Haha, we're just teasing. But still, I can't believe a lot of people just gave up on Cotto after his last fight. Especially making threads like these.

I still think he would give Hatton and Mayweather fits.

I didnt give up on Cotto just never believed the hype around him either. so when he had a lot of adversity in his last fight, I wasnt surprised as I never that he was the invincible fighter HBO was making him out to be.

You know how fans are. When a fighter has had a mediocre night, and they'll say he'll get crushed by a top opponent. When a fighter wins a big fight against a top opponent, everyone will be back hugging his balls like crazy.

This is boxing, a fighter is only as good as his last fight.(Well at least for "fake" fans & bandwagon b*tches).

The sad thing is Cotto got rocked by a guy who weighed under 145 pounds on fight night and cotto weighet a good 155-160 on fight night if you have a size advantage and you get wobbled by a guy who weighs less then you and is not known for one punch power you will not fair well with the higherweights. Cotto looked awful against torres he was fighting for his life! Cotto has some serious heart but his chin will not hold up at 147 pounds especially against guys like antonio margarito and zab judah. I mean if you are getting rocked by small guys imagine how he will do taking a punch of a bigger guy?

I am one of those who think that at 147, his chin will hold up better. Cotto is a Welter already who is draining himself to make 140. This affects his performance just like it affected Trinidad at 147.
