agreed, i dont care for either ,Martinez or Williams, but id like a Trill on this one. Still think the second was a fluke.. I personally thought Mart won the first Action Packed War. but the way the second ended gots Fluke written all over it.. or.... hmm brace yourself... maybe Marts on PEDS?? lmbo But i suspect a 3rd fight would be a war like the 1StComment

Yea aight. Keep telling urself that. P
Will is good at beating smaller people not people his own size. Look how bad he looked against Cintron. Martinez beat em twice (we know he lost the first fight) and Quitana is a natural MW,he is a big dude. Ishida held his own against Sterm, and koed a pretty f*****g solid Kirkland. Blowout? Not really. We will see who's rightComment

================================================== =========What's fraudulent about Paul Williams? I don't understand how anyone can not respect him as a fighter. Paul Williams is good for boxing. The guy willingly fights from 147 to 160. He's fought Margarito, Quintana (twice), Phillips, Winky, Martinez (twice), and Cintron. He's an action fighter who throws tons of punches. He's fun to watch. If I were coaching, I wouldn't teach someone to box like him, but there's not a single fight for him from 147 to 160 that I would not want to watch. You all are crazy.
The problem isn't whether he is fun to watch or not, the kid is fun to watch. My issue with him is he is not active enough and when supposedly "you're the most feared man" and a top p4p, yet you turn down fights left and right. Not to mention when you're campaigning at 3 different weight classes you have more opportunities to fight top guys.
Phillips and Quintana aren't exactly the elite. Not to mention he lost the first time to Quintana. He fought Winky after a 2 year lay off, most people thought he lost the first fight to Martinez, and tried his hardest to avoid the rematch. He has turned down multiple offers before and after his KO to Martinez.
To me these are not the actions of a p4p most dangerous man in boxing.Last edited by JJRod; 05-16-2011, 09:26 PM.Comment

The fight works for me regardless of the weight. When Isihida took out Kirkland my head nearly exploded! Williams is entertaining to watch because he likes to ****, but I'm going with my fellowmen Ishida. That knockout has probably made him even hungrier.Comment

^ and throw in fighting @ catchwweights which doesn't help the cause.
I know CW aren't really liked on this board, but IMO a lot of that has to do with Freddie Roach who was on the record in an article posted on boxingscene.com and quoted as saying that he wanted the 145 CW in the Cotto fight specifically to drain Cotto.
how is that something you can respect? using a tactic like that is downright cowardly
so maybe that's where all the "crying" about catchweight comes from. Especially if the only purpose it serves is to weight drain the opponent and give 1 guy an advantage.
and in the case of P-Will vs Ishida, Ishida's last fight was @ Middle .. why does the so called "most avoided boxer" even need an in between weight to fight him. Why doesn't he just take the fight at MW if he's so tough?
Well Williams even used a CW in the Sergio rematch, didn't work out so well for him that time. Again I don't see why he needs it
yeah Williams is kinda making a mockery of his whole "Welterweight to Middleweight" "Most avoided boxer" labels by taking fights @ catchweights (Sergio was at 158 and now Ishida at 155)
he should just man up and fight. The so called "most avoided" man in boxing shouldn't have to use CW's to gain an advantageComment
