  • Maybe im missing something, but if the fight was originally supposed to be at 154 lbs (light middleweight) then why do yall have your panties up your ass over ONE POUND???

I can see if the fight was supposed to be at 154lbs, and there was a catchweight of 149lbs, but WTF Williams spotted Ishida a pound OVER the limit (155lbs). How is Williams draining Ishida when he "gave" him a pound?

Maybe im missing something, but it seems like yall are getting pissy for nothing..

Even with all his cowardice he still got KTFO.

Im not a fan of him fighting anything below 165 or even 170.

That be like Wlad/Vitali cutting to Cruiserweight everytime on fight night to pick on smaller guys.

His body is meant to be fighting big guys, does anyone know what he walks around at? 190? 200?
Williams walks around at 165lbs, I would guess.

And Williams has NEVER cracked 170lbs rehydrated, even in his last Middleweight fight he only hydrated to 167lbs. Williams fighting at LHW makes absolutely no sense.

He's too weak and frail to be fighting at his weight class, he is just using his height/reach advantage against the way smaller people but when he meets someone who actually can box/fight he gets destroyd.

His body is frail, its not healthy, I could see him dominating at around ~180 with his height and reach. at 155 he has no power and is only relying on his reach/height to beat opponents. Ironic Pacq the midget went from 70 lb to 155 but Pwill is going from 170 > 150.

Man up Pwill, eat some of that protein and bulk the hell up and get some muscles in you. I wont be mad if you juiced for a couple cycles either. You could be a great fighter if you put some mustard on your shots but you dont have the muscles, you like Dhalim from street fighter.
By that theory anyone could just bulk up and fight higher weight classes. For some reason PW is the only fighter who gets crushed for being able to make a weight and fighting there. When has he ever weighed in the night of a fight at or above 170? His body is not frail and unhealthy, and he doesn't even naturally walk around at 180. Just being tall doesn't make someone big, and just because you could put weight on doesn't mean you would be a better fighter there. Kelly Pavlick is tall and long and by your ****** theory should have been able to fight well at weights above 160, but yet looked horrible at 170 and looked like he was stuck in quicksand.

You know what, I don't think Medved has ever seen Paul Williams fight.

I'm aware of the CW history. and both of Pac's CW's were in title fights. but if CW's are so pointless, then why do the promoters/fighters or whomever's in charge bother putting them in the contract.

I really don't see the sense in fighting a former MW at 155.

these CW's have gone on for years and might not make THAT drastic a difference, so why do we still see bouts with catch weights?

                • Again PW has fought at Junior Middle and Middleweight before

why exactly does he need to fight Ishida at 155?

                    • Good to see Paul back in the mix. Hopefully he'll make his mark again with an impressive victory. I still think Ishida is in with a chance.
