Yeah, because he has that "slick style" you like, consisting of sloppy footwork that causes him to constantly lose footing like a spastic deer, lots of desperate holding and a quivering vagina where his heart should be beating.

Dirrell gets his heart broken and his eyes filled with tears by Ward. Talk about "styles" all you want, but he's got less of a chance at beating that guy than Froch. If he thought he could beat Ward, he would've stepped up for the fight he signed for.

A slight speed deficit and some range is all Dirrell has in his favor over Ward. That and maybe a little extra pop in his punches when he dares to sit down on them. It wouldn't be nearly enough against Ward, who has so many wrinkles and subtleties to his game, so many tangibles and intanglibles, and who holds so many aces over Dirrell, which I've listed at length in the past here, that it's not even funny.

    Dirrell Ward

you guys are on serious crack....

the first 5 rounds are compititive but afterwards ward starts to rough up dirrell & pull away on the scorecards.

dirrell lacks the mental strength to keep it together........

      stop the nonesense.

Never understood the logic that Dirrell has a weak chin, if that's the case Andre Ward has a weak chin also, Dirrell recovered pretty quick against Rocha, while Ward knock down against Darnell had him on shaky legs until the round finished.

Dirrell has the talent to beat Ward, but I cannot pick him over Ward. He isn't there enough mentally.

i see dirrell as the faster puncher, the better combination puncher for amount of punches.

I also think dirrell is faster for footwork and movement, and a bit slicker aswell.

I can see dirrell being able to outbox ward.

you really dont know until Dirrells been there with a fighter thats close to Ward's skill set and level, but this fight is 50-50 imo.

no doubt about it I think Dirrell has the SPEED to give Ward MAJOR PROBLEMS, I think he would be able to keep Ward off of him and avoid those clinches...BUT I am not sure if he is physically strong enough to get Ward off of him when Ward does get inside

Abraham did a GREAT JOB stopping those clinches by putting that Forearm/Elbow in the way and also pushing him off and backing away from those Clinch Attempts, unfortunately Abraham got tired and was too slow for Ward but at least he just didn't allow Ward to have his way PHYSICALLY like Green and Kessler did...even Bika did a good job pushing back and getting PHYSICALLY back with Ward.

I always though Dirrell has more TALENT then Ward...but Ward has the Maturity and the Discipline and he is much better then Dirrell UNDER PRESSURE, the one problem with Dirrell is when he gets hit hard he Panics a little bit, while Ward stays calm and CONTINUE TO FIGHT HIS FIGHT

but with the way both Dirrell and Ward switch stance during their fights, it would be VERY INTERESTING to see how they would match up in the ring, Dirrell will have to work his way back up in that division though before that fight happens now

You can jab, run, and pitty patter a guy into a ko? News to me. If this fight ever happens, its going to be an ugly, boo filled 12 rounder with no knockdowns. Both guys have all the talent in the world but wont take even a slight risk in the ring. This would be ass.
