Height doesn't matter, reach and styles does, and his reach is short for a SMW, and style is better suited for MW.

Tyson was only 5' 11" at HW, so was Jones. Then you see Coralles who was 5' 11: but was a natural SFW/LW.

Glen Johnson is 5' 11" just 1 inch taller than Abraham, and he's so much better and has had success at LHW. That 1 inch isn't what's doing all the difference. It's the styles and the reach.

I don't think he believes he can make 160 anymore. I think the champions at 175 are not as good as the supermiddleweights right now and Abraham has fought at that weight before, thats where he should go.

Abraham needs to reinvent himself. He should incorporate some different elements into his style and go from there. He's still a big draw in Germany and he could comeback via a series of tuneups against b level competition. I think with careful match making he can still beat some decent competition and a make a decent living doing so...

He wouldn't be able to deal with the power and speed of Dawson and Pascal. I thought he moved UP to 168 for the tournament. When did he fight at 175?

He HAS to move back down to middleweight or he's ***'d. Don't think he can change his style or turn like Marvin Hagler overnight.

Abraham has the same problem that Kelly Pavlik has. You give him a guy who can move away from his power shots, and he doesn't know what to do.
All three of his loses, Dirrell, Ward and even surprisingly Froch, all moved.

Abraham is a one trick pony. He needs to learn to cut the ring, corner his opponents and unload. He still has good power. Match carefully he can compete with guys who like him come forward.

i doubt he'll ever be champ. but i still think he can be in some entertaining fights with pavlik, adrade, or even kessler (who is def not as crafty or mobile as the more athletic boxers). maybe get a new trainer to at least look like you're trying to improve. he ain't gona be big stateside, but im sure he can still make a lot fighting in europe.

If he trains with boxing and not slugging in mind, he could still make 160.
