Teddy says all these guys aint ****, yet he picked most of them to beat pacquiao

Ricky Hatton was "made to order" for Pac Atlas says, but prior to the fight on ESPN Teddy Atlas picked Ricky Hatton to win because of his "strength and tenacity". Said Hatton's "feet will be the key."

Prior to Margarito he made the bold statement, "Manny Pacquiao is going to get beaten by Antonio Margarito on November 13," Atlas said in his Boxing News episode. "I wouldn't be surprised if Margarito knocked him out.”

With Clottey, he said he would be a very tough and dangerous fight stating, "I think it's a mistake for them to go with Clottey instead of Foreman."
"Clottey punches to the body well. He's a strong guy who knows how to fight. It's a much greater risk. Clottey is the bigger fighter. Clottey has more than enough experience with good fighters that he knows how to time you and that's a very important element to catch a guy like Pacquiao, who is faster. Clottey is capable of doing this," Atlas said.

To his credit, he did pick Pac to beat Cotto & Mosley. He also picked David Diaz to beat him as well.

Who has been favored to beat Pacquiao in his last 7 fights? Only DLH

Atlas always picks the underdog no matter what. The only time he does not pick the underdog is when Floyd fights and other rare occasions.

You left out the fact that Atlas had Pacquiao over DLH, where Pacquiao was the underdog.

He just likes doing that. It's his thing.

yes. that's what others have been sayingn about atlas. he always predicts pac fights in the direction of his opponents. yet he's not willing to give pacman credit for it when pac beats them. you're not expected to give props if you predicted the opposite. that's why you always take these commentators' words with a grain of salt. afaic, they really don't mean anything to me. their opinions are just as good or bad as any schmo in the street. they have their own biases, too.

I know what type of person Teddy Atlas is. I am like that too, to a lesser extant.

He likes to go against what the crowd says. He likes to be alone with his opinions.

He picked Pac over Cotto and Mosley, because Cotto was damaged goods, and Mosley was too old. And he sticks by his guns still about those two fights.

But the public were giving Cotto a really good chance to beat Pacquiao. And a lot of "boxing experts" although picking Pac to beat Mosley, they said Mosley will put up a better fight than most people think.

Teddy Atlas saw this, and went completely against it, he's just that type of person. Likes to go against what the popular answer is.

That's supposed to be an excuse for not knowing what you're talking about?

Dont forget, Floyd fans also picked DLH, Hatton, Cotto to beat Pacquiao and then turned around and claimed he cherry picked them haha. The evidence blatantly exists too.

Atlas doesn't always pick the underdogs, he picked Taylor over Pavlik, Barrera over Pacquiao, Cotto over Mosley, Mayweather over Hatton and many more times he picked the favorite.

What he's been doing with pac is the same stuff he's being doing with the klitschko's - giving them little to no respect at all and picking against them constantly and goes into great detail about why so and so will beat them, then after totally brushes it aside like it was nothing.

It's different than to "go against the grain" or what the masses he thinks, he goes against them then completely hates on them after.
