With the Super Six coming to a close, why isn't Bute waiting for the winner? For as much criticism as American fighters get for ducking, Bute really doesn't get any.

you might not like his style but ward is like a cotto of 2-3 years ago willing to fight anyone they put in front of him

call me crazy but with W's over froch and bute not to mention having beaten bika, kessler and abraham handily his resume will be better than calzaghe's

If he does beat all those guys, then I will have to agree with you!!! It won't be easy, but the funny thing is (at least to me), I really do think he has the skills to do it!! If Ward ever faces Bute, I will root for Bute because I really like his mix of technique and power; however, I respect Ward a great deal and know that he is a very, very good fighter (possibly on the verge of being great).

ward didn't fight abraham in oakland. & he didn't have all american judges (there was a none american ref who didn't let him fight on the inside even if he wanted to)

his next fight will be against froch or johnson in a nutrual location

bute = a joke who was ko'd against andrade........bute has yet to face ANY elite comp. he had the chance to fight pascal but RAN from it. he won't fight kessler, dirrell or abraham let alone ward.

bute is bumming & turns down any real challenges. what happened to the kessler fight? TURNED DOWN. what happend to the pascal fight? TURNED DOWN. what happend to the dawson/hopkins opportunities? TURNED DOWN.

I was just thinking about Andre Ward vs the top 5 LHW's last night. Because it is highly possible that Ward beats the winner of Froch-Johnson, and then there will be nobody else to fight there because a fight between him and Bute would be too hard to make, because of the reasons stated above.


But what people fail to mention is Ward does have several fights outside of CA, and even a couple of fights outside of the US entirely. Lucian Bute has 25 of his 28 fights in Canada, all of them in his hometown Quebec.

Out of his 3 fights outside of Quebec, 1 was in Romania.

With that said i'd love to see the Super 6 winner vs Bute, then move up to 175.

he wants to fight the best and be the best

bute will be a good match for him as well

too bad wards mentality cant rub off on floyd mayweather, if it did

we could have mayweather and pacman and put all the hype and drama

I recall reading that Kessler will go to Montreal to fight Bute if/when he defeats his next opponent.

Ward will have to get in line for a fight that will never happen.
