ummm you got the story mixed up homie. pac was trying to sign with goldenboy while he was still with top rank. the judge declared the goldenboy contract invalid and he had to stay with top rank. however, goldenboy does still get a cut of pac's fights. you can look up the details yourself. but really, why don't these guys just wait til their contracts are up to actually sign with someone else?Arum is an untrustworthy vindictive prick. He screwed over Donaire for years. Why is it he never gave this guy, who is a top 5 p4p, a massive promotional push or let him fight on Pacs undercard? Nonito is almost 29 and he has never been given the attention he deserves, he doesn't have much time left in his career.
And the ridiculously hypocritical thing about this is, another filipino named Pacquiao did the exact same thing, he signed onto Top Rank while he was under contract with GB, and the judges allowed him to do this.
And now when Nonitio tries to do the EXACT same thing PAC did, it's not allowed? What BS.Comment

Agree, my guess is his wifey thought GBP would make Donaire a bigger star since Donaire still sits behind Pacs shadow.. His broad needs to shut her yap.. Tired of her talking..
Now Donaire aint got a fight lined up and kinda loosing his luster.. Im sure if Donaire just sat put Arum would of found some way of making him a star as well, but now Arum saw that Donaire backstabbed him and now we have this mess... SMH..Comment

donaire is ****in ******.Top Rank's CEO, Bob Arum, advised the Manila Bulletin that he's "still waiting" for WBC/WBO bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire to make a decision on his next move. Donaire was the main figure of a recent promotional tug of war between Top Rank and Golden Boy Promotions.

he's better off just continuing fighting... or atleast he should buy out the rest of his contract.
this ring inactivity is doing nothing for his career.Comment

LOL This cracked me up
But seriously I think that was just one bad move on his part to not wait till his contract was up. Seems to be common these days for those in the lower weight classes to expect big paydays, as if that's the norm. There must be some desperation on his part as well: he's already 29 and while that's not really old it's not young either at this stage of his career and wifey must've been whispering in his ear the lure of big money by signing up with GBP. I hope he gets a fight soon. Inactivity is detrimental to a fighter.Comment

I don't really know what he was thinking in the first place. He should have known trying to leave TR while he was still under contract would have ramifications. He needs to just honor his contract and let it run its course. When it's up, then pick up and leave. All this is doing is hurting his prime. Instead of getting more big fights and enhancing his name he's on the pine with a thumb up his ass.Comment

Arum is an idiot, talks **** even though he knew Nonito was going to have to stay @ TR. Its no secret why many top fighters leave you Arum.. he did absolute nothing for Nonito's career... Even Darchinyan has a more better resume imo..Comment

Nonito should get this **** over it.
He should fight the last **** on the contract and then sign with Goldenboy.Comment
